In recent weeks, Activision has been gradually revealing all the new content being added to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, indicating that significant changes will be made to the games. For instance, in Warzone 2 Season 2, three-plate armor vests will come standard for all players.
Activision has revealed that Modern Warfare 2 will receive new modes and maps in addition to adjustments to the rate at which bonus and ultimate perks unlock. Several Modern Warfare 2 content leaks have surfaced, with claims that well-liked game modes like Cranked and Plunder will soon be included. Activision has now revealed that Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 will bring a new game mode.
According to Dexerto, the official Call of Duty Twitter account has revealed that the introduction of Season 2 will include the addition of Gun Game to Modern Warfare 2. According to a response to a fan question, Gun Game will be released on February 15 as part of the Season 2 update. All players in this game mode begin with a basic pistol, and with each kill, a new weapon is replaced, forcing players to go through the entire cycle of weapons.

Not only is Infected returning in the new update on February 15 for Modern Warfare 2, but this isn't the only party game mode coming to Modern Warfare 2 in Season 2. Both Infected and Gun Game have previously appeared in a number of Call of Duty games, and they will add some variety to the available game modes. Fans will have to wait for a final confirmation before learning whether Gunfight will also be returning, according to an earlier leak.
Despite criticism for Modern Warfare 2's paucity of content, Season 2 is expected to be a significant update for the game. The full patch notes will likely contain additional changes coming to Modern Warfare 2 in Season 2, but at least the new game modes have been confirmed for the fans.
