Trick from Hogwarts Legacy Enables Hufflepuff Students to Climb the Stairs in the Common Room

This advice may make Hufflepuff players in Hogwarts Legacy feel like one of the cool kids if they are also a little bit of a rebel.

In the Hufflepuff common room, a Hogwarts Legacy player discovered a simple solution for how to ascend the stairs quickly. Because a player in Hogwarts Legacy can explore every inch of their common room despite the presence of magical stairs.

Dedicated followers are aware that a Hufflepuff is distinguished by patience, hard work, and modesty. But when the staircase in the common room doesn't quite function as they had hoped it would, even their patience can be tried. Although there is more to this player's situation, many players have probably had similar experiences while moving around the common areas in Hogwarts Legacy. Maybe not everyone has attempted to push those limits, though.

Because they decided to have a male character, the player had to attempt to figure out how to trick the stairs into complying. If a character in Hogwarts Legacy is Hufflepuff and also happens to be a boy, they will be aware that climbing the stairs to the girls' floor is practically impossible. The magical stairs collapse into a slide once a boy character tries to ascend, and the player is dropped back to the bottom. But as Callum Taylor demonstrated in his TikTok video, there is obviously a design flaw. Callum advises to "clip onto the banister" and wait for the stairs to reappear as the stairs do flatten. As soon as they do the player can finish their journey up the stairs, making it onto the girls' dormitory floor.

The video received over 88 thousand likes and over 600 comments, providing viewers with hours of entertainment as a result of the hack. Some claimed that there are knights blocking the girls' side of the common room in Ravenclaw, while others claimed that there are no barriers of any kind in Slytherin. One commenter even stated that Callum's behavior was more in line with a Slytherin. However, many players simply assumed the game had temporarily locked that area away for narrative purposes without even realizing why the stairs behaved that way during their playthroughs. Most people, however, concur that the Hufflepuff common room decorations are among the nicest, which caused some to second-guess their choice of house.

Whether or not it's encouraged by the game itself, playing Hogwarts Legacy can undoubtedly be a lot of fun. Despite what some commenters predicted, a patch will likely be released to fix this bug.

The release dates for Hogwarts Legacy are as follows: April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One; February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X; and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
