2025 AID of Soccer: Tyson Fray and Wayne Rooney to manage England in Old Trafford

The former heavyweight worldwide champion Tyson Fury will join Wayne Rooney as two of England’s colleagues to Soccer AID 2025.

The former England striker Rooney will also leave retirement to play in the annual charity match against a World XI on Sunday, June 15.

The collection of this year’s funds for UNICEF returns to Old Trafford, home of the former Manchester United team of Rooney.

Last year’s game took place in Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge and raised more than 15 million for charity.

“The possibility of taking my team from England to victory this June fills me with as much emotion as any heavyweight fight,” Fury said.

“Everyone knows that I am also a big fan of Manchester United, so it is even more special for me that the game is in Old Trafford this year, and I can drive one of my heroes, Wayne Rooney.”

Rooney, 39, was handled in the 2020 football help and played in the game of the following year.

He said: “I am a big boxing fan, so doing it with Tyson Fury is fantastic. We have this in common, we will both take it incredibly seriously.

“It’s great to put old boots back and see some old friends.”

Rooney will play with former teammates Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, while Joe Hart, Steph Houghton and Toni Duggan will make their football aid debut.

Singer Louis Tomlinson will also return with people like Sam Quek, Paddy McGuinness, Tom Grennan and Sir Mo Farah.

The former defender of Italy, Leonardo Bonucci, and the forward of Denmark, Nadia Nadim, will make his football aid debut as part of the XI world, with the rest of the team confirmed.

Since the first game in 2006, Soccer AID has raised more than £ 106 million for charity.
