Kansas City bosses maintain a familiar face around the Arrowhead stadium. The club has returned to sign the veteran open receiver Juju Smith-Schuster for a one-year contract, according to NFL Media. The financial parameters that will keep the receiver of 28 -year -old passes in KC were not immediately revealed.

Smith-Schuster is in the middle of his second period with the Chiefs, initially signing with the club as a free agent in March 2022. That year, he helped the club win the Super Bowl LVII and scored 933 yards they received during the regular season.

After its launch of the New England patriots in early August last summer, the receiver returned to Kansas City just before the start of the regular season. Then he appeared in 14 games (eight openings) during the regular season, catching 18 of his 26 targets for 231 yards and two touchdowns. During the playoffs of the Chiefs to the Super Bowl Lix, Smith-Schuster added four trapped for 76 yards in three games.

Player's head player

As this production suggests, Smith-Schuster should be considered as a piece of depth in the Open Receptor Hall of the Chiefs in regards to the 2025 campaign. The club will probably seek to rely on its young receiver group, headed by Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, which comes from a knee injury that ends the season. Kansas City also signed again Hollywood Brown earlier this low season.

For his career, Smith-Schuster has totaled 448 receptions for 5,279 yards and 32 touchdowns in 104 regular seasonal games.
