Duendee UTD refuses to participate in the VAR review panel


Dundee United says they will refuse to supply a representative to sit on the review panel of the Scottish FA video referee due to the lack of confidence in the process.

A five -people rotating panel, known as the incident panel of the key party, composed of a club staff, former referees, players and coaches check the so -called VAR weekly.

United says that now they will not participate in the process after raising concerns about the “purpose, effectiveness and impact of the panel in Scottish football.”

He added that some decisions “seem to be based on the opinions of panel members who, for the most part, lack significant experience in the laws of the game.”

“We believe that changes should be made to the KMI panel or an alternative and more solid process should be used to review arbitration decisions if it is considered a requirement,” United added.
