Manchester City administrator, Pep Guardiola, has criticized the balls used in the competitions of the Domestic Cup of England.
His comments follow those of the Arsenal Chief Mikel Arteta, who was ridiculed at the beginning of the season when he expressed his anger by the ball that was used in the Carabao Cup after a defeat against Newcastle in the semifinal.
City was 3-1 winners in the FA Cup against the side of the Plymouth championship on Saturday, but had 20 shots outside the goal in the game.
Guardiola said he was not happy with the groin balls used in the FA Cup.
“The ball in the Champions League is exceptional, the ball in the Premier League is exceptional, this is not,” he said. “It’s hard to control.
“When you lose it [sounds like] You are complaining, but the ball is not right. In many years it has happened in the FA Cup and Copa Carabao, I know it is a business and reach the agreements.
“Do you know how many shots they passed? Look at other games. Normally the ball enters these shots.”
Nike’s balls are used in the Premier League, with Adidas balls used in UEFA European competitions and Puma balls for the EFL Cup.
In response to Guardiola’s comments, a soccer association spokesman said: “Miter’s Ultimax’s ball, used in the Emirates FA Cup and all other FA competitions, has been tested according to FIFA tests.
“All football in the professional game must comply with the professional accreditation of FIFA quality, and this ball gives against all the test requirements.
“Together with Miter, we understand that the preference is subjective, but we are sure that the ball works well. With more than 350 goals marked in the knockout competition so far, it provides an exciting element for such a competitive tournament.”
The three goals of the city in the Sabbath Cup game came from 29 shots, of which nine were in the target.
In his 4-0 victory in the Premier League over Newcastle United on February 15, Guardiola’s team had 11 shots with seven in the target.
Clubs receive relevant balls to train before accessories.
In the action of the Cup FA of the weekend, several parts of the Premier League had a higher percentage of shots in the objective than in their previous matches of the League, including Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle.
