While the former Colorado Campo Marshal, Shedeur Sanders, is one of the first selections in the NFL draft this year, says he is not worried if he will be selected first in general.
“Why would I get angry?” Sanders told Kevin Clark from ESPN on Thursday. “These are good problems.
Sanders continued explaining how any situation in which he enters will not be the best, since it is a team with a high draft selection, but wants to land in a good adequate scheme.
Tennessee’s Titans have the number 1 team and met with Sanders in East Shrine Bowl. They were impressed with their maturity and balance during the interview.
The Cleveland Browns and the New York giants have the second and third selection, respectively, and also met with Sanders in the sanctuary game.
Sanders and Cam Ward in Miami are the two best quarterbacks in the draft, and train together with the field marshal coach Darrell Colbert in the Dallas area. The two have been seen in several videos that speak garbage with each other during training, but they say it is well understood.
“It’s great that we are close because, if we didn’t, they would try to hold each other,” Sanders said. “Many things we say, we are just playing. But people try to take things and put it out of context.”
Sanders said he spent a lot of time with former NFL Marshal Michael Vick during the Sanctuary Week. The Atlanta Falcons made Vick in the best selection in the 2001 Draft, the first time a black field marshal was selected first in general.
“Every conversation we have is very shocking for me,” Sanders said. “I love being close to him, talking to him and getting his vision.”
