Super Mario is transformed into a first-person shooter in this game
The Super Mario series is typically associated with the platforming subgenre, but this game transforms it into a first-person shooter.
Although the Super Mario series has dabbled in a number of genres in the past, it is difficult to envision Nintendo ever producing a first-person shooter. There is a lot of anticipation for the upcoming Super Mario movie. When Mario + Rabbids was first revealed, many fans were delighted by its tactical turn-based combat in the vein of XCOM. Many people still have fond memories of the Super Mario RPG that Squaresoft (the company’s previous name before the merger that created Square Enix) created for the SNES, but Nintendo has always seemed to dislike first-person shooters.
One of the most recognizable figures in video game history is Mario. Because of how well-liked the character is, every year on March 10, also known as MAR10 Day, fans celebrate Super Mario. The Mushroom Kingdom and its characters have been the subject of numerous fan-made games as well as modifications for already existing games, which occasionally incenses Nintendo. Since its initial release on MAR10 Day in 2020, the unofficial game that imagines the world of Super Mario as a first-person shooter has avoided Nintendo’s harsh response to anything and everything that it deems harmful to its intellectual property.
The Super 1-1 Challenge converts the first-person shooter time trial version of Super Mario’s World 1-1. Players are tasked with completing the level as quickly as they can while collecting all the gold coins along the way. The player can also find hidden red coins to collect. Just a few days after MAR10 Day, The Super 1-1 Challenge received an update with better graphics and gameplay.
Fan-made video games are a fairly common occurrence for popular franchises and characters. Gaming culture includes fan creations like this chart that purports to show which Super Mario character is most popular in each US state. After all, those who are interested in making games would be inspired by the movies and TV shows they enjoy. The Super 1-1 Challenge’s creator, Sean Noonan, obviously put a lot of love into his work.
It would be interesting to see how other levels from The Super 1-1 Challenge would appear. There might even be a pivotal boss battle with Bowser, the main foe from the Super Mario series. If Nintendo’s legal division doesn’t get angry at the unassuming fan creation, maybe this will happen someday. There have undoubtedly been other Super Mario fan games before, and this one is not likely to be the last.

The Chainsaw Demo for Resident Evil 4 may still contain some secrets
Players can get a taste of what the Resident Evil 4 remake will be like with the Chainsaw Demo, but there are still some mysteries to be discovered.
Players still haven’t figured out at least one mystery in the “Chainsaw Demo” for the Resident Evil 4 remake. The Resident Evil 4 remake “Chainsaw Demo” was shadow-dropped by Capcom a few days ago, and by now, one would think fans would have dissected it to the hilt; even modders have managed to get the Resident Evil 4 remake demo functioning in VR.
For those who haven’t played it yet, the demo is free to play, infinitely replayable, and time-free. Fans of the series appear to be enjoying it. In the Resident Evil 4 demo, one player discovered a way to find a hidden weapon by leaving all of their equipment at the village area gate and running to a secretive underground location. It will be intriguing to see if this applies to the actual game as well. Thankfully, there won’t be much longer until the game’s March 24 release.
Nobody has been able to unlock a locked drawer in the Resident Evil 4 demo’s village area. There is a slim but exciting chance that the key is hidden somewhere and is just waiting to be found by a persistent gamer. It may simply be the case that the key needed to open it is found later on in the game after the “Chainsaw Demo” has ended. It’s also possible that it will be unlocked using a lockpicking technique similar to Resident Evil Village, but at this point, that’s just conjecture.
It was a pleasant surprise to see the Resident Evil 4 “Chainsaw Demo,” and it appears that the hype for the game is still going strong. At this point, the game appears to be living up to the high expectations of the fans, which is a difficult task given that the original Resident Evil 4 is regarded by many fans and critics as the best game in the series. This is quite the accomplishment for a series that has produced dozens of games, including spin-offs and remakes.
Since physical copies of Resident Evil 4 have been discovered in the wild, things are unfortunately not all sunshine and roses. Warning: There are dishonest gamers who would shamelessly ruin the game for others by disseminating gameplay footage and important plot details. Although early game leaks are nothing new, they are always unfortunate and upsetting for players who want to enjoy the Resident Evil 4 remake in its entirety at their own pace.
Resident Evil 4 will release on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24.
