Not only was it a visual improvement over 1996’s The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, but it was also a console triumph at the time, as no other game of this magnitude could possibly hope to be compatible with the likes of the original Xbox until TES3.

It’s encouraging to see that Morrowind, which turned 20 last year, is still receiving support from the community. There will always be fans of the Elder Scrolls series who will fondly look back to the earlier installments to remind themselves of how it all began. The Elder Scrolls series may have deviated from its origins, appealing to a wider audience of gamers.
