Player of Elden Ring Demonstrates the Best Use of Death Blight in PvP

A shrewd Elden Ring PVP player demonstrates the most effective use of Death Blight in an effective, brutal, and lethal strategy against invaders.

A PVP Elden Ring player demonstrated an impressively sly tactic for using Death Blight on unwary adversaries. Like the majority of “SoulsBorne” games, Elden Ring features a fiercely competitive PVP scene where strategies like these can make or break a battle.

Nearly a year after Elden Ring’s debut, players are still discovering fresh ways to enjoy it. The game always seems to be changing, whether it’s a new method for finding Elden Ring illusory walls or a way to defeat every boss with the Carian Slicer. There has always been a very long life span for games in the “SoulsBorne” series because of the FromSoftware games’ rich lore and legendary intense combat. While some players are quick to find effective PVP strategies, there are always more ways to win hidden deep within Elden Ring due to the complexity of both the lore and the combat. There are a lot of layers beneath the initial experience of playing through Elden Ring.

Reddit user Neukbare-Nina, an Elden Ring player, demonstrated one such tactic to other fans. In Ranni’s Rise, the player summons a friend who hides behind some crystals using the “spread out” emote before calling in invaders and luring them up the staircase. Neukbare-Nina drinks Ironjar Aromatic at the top of the stairs to increase their resistance to physical damage by 40%. They then cast Fia’s Mist into the stairwell as their friend approaches from behind to do the same. The Death Sorcery has the opportunity to bring about instant death by trapping the invader in such a small area. What happens next is like an agonizing loss to Malenia. Even though Fia’s Mist is a very potent spell, the slow build-up of Death Blight and the chance to move around in Elden Ring’s wide environments would mean that Fia’s Mist could be avoided.

One player pretended to be an NPC, and another still used environmental hazards in Elden Ring to trick invaders into defeat. This type of trolling play style is quite popular among PVP players. On Neukbare-post Nina’s titled “How to ruin people’s day with Death Blight,” comments were left pointing out the various bugs that were present in the game at launch and how they were exploited for effective PVP strategies.

Despite the difficulty of trying to fill the Death Blight meter on their opponents, one commenter said they enjoy using a “Death Build.” They might be able to find some motivation in Neukbare-sinister Nina’s video. The Elden Ring anniversary event, which is planned to include a section specifically for PVP, will be held by FromSoftware to commemorate the game’s one-year anniversary. Possibly, players will be able to see more ways to employ their preferred strategies and builds in this event.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Pokemon enthusiast develops Pikachu’s paradox form

Pokemon enthusiast develops Pikachu's paradox form

Pikachu, the franchise’s beloved mascot, receives a fresh and imaginative Paradox form thanks to the invention of a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan.

The most well-known Pokemon in the franchise and the franchise’s mascot, Pikachu, was given a Paradox form by a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player. Fans are constantly excited to display their own Paradox Pokemon, drawing inspiration from the pre-existing variations in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet while adding their own special twist. There are nine generations and over 1,000 Pokemon on the roster.

One of the few Pokemon that has appeared prominently in every generation of the franchise, Pikachu has been a mainstay throughout its existence. This pattern was continued in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The electric mouse was popularized in the first generation of Pokemon games, Pokemon Blue and Red, and the Pokemon anime further emphasized its charm and feisty demeanor. Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town’s top Pokemon, Pikachu, accompanied his trainer on every step of the way to assisting Ash in becoming a Pokemon Champion.

What a Pikachu from the past would look like if it traveled through the portal and into the present was depicted by Reddit user Macksi_ in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet subreddit. Storm Tyrant, a Pokemon with horns on its head, a fluffier body, and razor-sharp claws, is the ideal blend of cuteness and mischievousness. One astute user noticed that Storm Tyrant has glowing yellow eyes like most Paradox Pokemon, giving the Pokemon a strong attention to detail with the lore of the story. The Storm Tyrant has a menacing appearance and what appears to be a wider end to its tail. It also has a sharp set of fangs.

Additionally, Storm Tyrant has its own backstory and unique duo-typing. This creation is a Paradox Pokemon, which means they have different types than their original counterparts in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Storm Tyrant adds the Dragon type to Pikachu’s Paradox form, making it one of only five Pokemon with the same dual-type combination, along with Dracozolt, Mega Ampharos, and the legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Miraidon. Pikachu’s Paradox form retains its Electric type. The ability Protosynthesis, which increases the Pokemon’s highest stat by 30% while Sun is activated or if the Booster Energy is attached, is carried by Storm Tyrant, referred to as “The Crackling Pokemon.”

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet contain a total of 14 Paradox Pokemon, seven for each version, excluding the Koraidon and Miraidon Pokemon, which both serve as the past and future forms of Cyclizar. The lack of additional forms may have left players unimpressed and encouraged many to make their own Paradox Pokemon. It’s unclear if Game Freak intends to add more Paradox Pokemon to the mix given the rumors of potential future DLC patches.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.

God of War Ragnarok player beats the boss rush challenge in under a minute

A God of War Ragnarok player beats the boss rush challenge in under a minute

God of War Ragnarok’s Blades of Chaos can easily defeat five bosses without taking damage, as one extremely skilled player demonstrates.

Using the legendary Blades of Chaos, a highly skilled God of War Ragnarok player beat one of the game’s toughest challenges. Even though Kratos has the Leviathan Axe as his signature weapon in the 2018 video games God of War and God of War Ragnarok, many players still consider the Blades of Chaos to be his real weapon. Some players have implemented this philosophy into their builds in-game, unleashing violence befitting a God of War with builds that are strong and centered on the legendary Greek weapon.

Players in God of War Ragnarok have access to a variety of weapons with unique play styles. By slaying formidable foes and exploring the world, these weapons can be improved and adjusted. Runic Attacks is one such potent upgrade that, when activated, deals significant damage to enemies and frequently has potent side effects. The community has disagreed with runic attacks because some of the combos can stun-lock enemies in place, making battles easy.

In a brief two-minute video posted on the social media site by Reddit user Lckf, they complete Muspelheim’s Boss Rush challenge in record time. The challenge starts with The Traveler being the first enemy to step out of a portal, and the player only uses the Blades of Chaos throughout the battle. As the player attacks with the fiery blades and ends the battle with an execution, the Traveler has no chance. After a few attacks, the second foe, a Fierce Stalker, also perishes quickly. The player then uses their talisman skill to activate the buffs for Soulless Warrior and Gift of Strength. The player receives a significant attack boost as a result, dispatching the Dark Elf Lord and the Light Elf Lord. And finally, the player fights and kills an Einherjer Captain to bring this battle to a close.

Kratos can be quickly defeated by Travelers and Einherjer Captains if players are not careful because they are powerful foes in normal situations. Additionally, the nimble elven foes in the most recent God of War games have caused players a good deal of frustration due to the Elf Lords’ propensity for spamming attacks. The boss in this challenge that poses the least threat is The Fierce Stalker, a scaled-down version of The Untamed Fury from Vanaheim. This video demonstrates that even the toughest opponent can be defeated by straightforward attacks with enough practice, despite the fact that these foes are not comparable to the Valkyrie Queen Gna or the Berserker King Hrolf Kraki.

This video serves as evidence that the Blades of Chaos are still capable of dealing godly damage, even though some players have completed the challenge using different weapons and potent runic attack combinations. The weapon now serves as a reminder of how far Kratos has come on his quest to find peace away from war, with a brutal past to match the god who wielded it.

God of War Ragnarok is available on PS4 and PS5.

A gamer makes their brother an impressive Zelda-themed dresser

A gamer makes their brother an impressive Zelda-themed dresser

An artist spends a year painting a dresser in their brother’s favorite video game franchise, The Legend of Zelda, as a gift.

A dresser with a The Legend of Zelda theme was completed by an artist after more than a year of work. Personal touches and numerous allusions to the Zelda series were added to the finished dresser.

Few video game franchises have lasted as long as The Legend of Zelda has. It should come as no surprise that most gamers have a personal history with the franchise given the series’ close to 40-year existence. This may have come from playing one of the series’ numerous games, which cover a sizable portion of Nintendo’s history, or from noticing references to the series in other games, like Super Smash Bros. The anticipation among the game’s audience is at an all-time high with the release of Tears of the Kingdom less than 100 days away.

The lead-up to a new Zelda game is a time when fan creations based on the series tend to become particularly well-known because the Zelda series is known for having lengthy gaps between entries. Some of the fan-made items are inspired by beloved Zelda games, like the poster one fan created based on Death Mountain from Ocarina of Time, but other fans have created items that draw from various eras of the franchise’s history. The latter strategy was used by an Instagram user going by.the.ash.tree, who created a Zelda-themed dresser as a gift for their brother.

On their Instagram page, By.the.ash.tree shared a time-lapse video of their progress on the dresser. They also shared a picture of the dresser on the Zelda subreddit. Their progress video, which was shot over the course of a year, features references to various series games while showing them manually painting and drawing each side of the dresser. These include structures from the recently reverse-engineered A Link to the Past game’s overworld, a depiction of Majora’s Mask from the corresponding Nintendo 64 game, and the famous “it’s dangerous to go alone, take this” line from the first Zelda game on the NES.

Many of Nintendo’s game franchises have been around for a very long time and are cherished by players of all ages. One of the best examples of this is The Legend of Zelda, whose games are among the most celebrated and well-liked of all time. Breath of the Wild is one of the ten best-selling Switch games, and other Zelda games continue to sell well. The significance The Legend of Zelda continues to hold for gamers worldwide is demonstrated by fan works like this, which is certain to continue for years to come.

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 are miffed that there are no gunfights in season 2

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 are miffed that there are no gunfights in season 2

Unfavorable news: Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is not likely to include the game mode Gunfight, which is a fan favorite.

Players are incensed that Gunfight will not return to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in the Season 2 update, according to a Call of Duty insider. Some of the decisions made for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have already angered series fans.

A 2v2 game mode called “Gunfight” was first featured in Modern Warfare in 2019. While the game mode was still present in Black Ops: Cold War, it was dropped from Call of Duty Vanguard, and since then, fans have been clamoring for its return. Since then, the developers have confirmed that Gunfight will return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but they only gave an approximate time frame. Similar to this, Warzone 2 players who have spent time in the DMZ mode are upset about the DMZ progress reset for Season 2.

A full roadmap of the Season 2 content will be unveiled by Infinity Ward on February 8 according to a report from Call of Duty insider CharlieINTEL on February 2. CharlieINTEL provided a quick and direct “no” in response to a fan who responded “Gunfight” with the crossed-fingers emoji. Reddit user Lumenprotoplasma quickly broke the bad news to the community, where disgruntled viewers have continued the conversation. A user commented that Gunfight is being held back so that players will keep playing until its inevitable release, while another user pointed out that player retention may not last that long if the favorite game modes are not available. Commenters have been debating the benefits and drawbacks of holding back fan favorite content. Although Infinity Ward has addressed a few bugs in the  recent Modern Warfare 2 patch, it seems as though the game’s biggest problem comes down to understanding the community.

A different user made the comment that Gunfight should be easy to incorporate into the game but that Activision is more interested in the usual money-making cosmetics than giving fans what they want. Like Gunfight, Infected has been requested by fans to return to Call of Duty. With such a well-known franchise, it is crucial for developers to pay attention to the audience. However, it should be understood that, even though some decisions are made solely to increase the property’s revenue, sometimes putting those changes into practice is more difficult than it appears on the surface.

The community has not been greatly inspired by the changes that have been made and are still being made, though. While some players can still have a ton of fun, such as one player in Modern Warfare 2 with an impressive win/loss stat but no kills, others feel a little betrayed by the franchise’s apparent stagnation. For the time being, Season 2’s full details will have to be eagerly anticipated on February 8 by fans.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Release date for Gears of War: The Card Game is confirmed

Release date for Gears of War: The Card Game is confirmed

The Coalition, the company behind Gears, and its collaborator Steamforged Games have announced the date for the upcoming Gears of War: The Card Game LCG.

The Coalition has revealed the day on which Gears of War: The Card Game will go on sale. Fans of Steamforged Games’ Gears of War adaptation have been waiting impatiently for it to release. The Gears of War: The Card Game can now be pre-ordered thanks to today’s announcement. It might at the very least make the agonizing wait for Gears 6 a little less agonizing.

For its licensed adaptations, Steamforged Games is well known in the board and card game industry. Dark Souls: The Card Game, Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game, and the still-in-development Elden Ring: The Board Game are some of the other recent titles from Steamforged Games. To further capitalize on brands, game developers frequently collaborate with reputable makers of board and card games, such as Steamforged Games, to create licensed products. However, there can be huge variations in these licensed products’ quality.

Early January saw the official announcement of Gears of War: The Card Game, so its April 10 release date may come as a surprise. It’s unusual for a game like Gears of War: The Card Game to take four months to develop, but skipping a crowdfunding campaign and all of its reward tiers can speed up the process significantly. Gears of War: The Card Game is currently available for pre-order through the official Steamforged Games website for a base price of $34.95.

Get ready for the fight of your life.

— Steamforged Games (@SteamforgedLtd) January 27, 2023

Gears of War: The Card Game is an LCG, which generally means that buying the game includes all the cards required to play it in its entirety. There isn’t any collecting going on. One player controls the COG forces in Gears of War: The Card Game, and the other player controls the Locust horde. With character cards from the Gears franchise, players can customize their deck as they engage in combat across a campaign of 15 distinct scenarios.

As an LCG, Gears of War: The Card Game typically comes with all the cards needed to play the entire game when purchased. No collection efforts are being made. In Gears of War: The Card Game, one player commands the COG forces while the other commands the Locust horde. Players can personalize their deck as they engage in combat over the course of a campaign with 15 different scenarios using character cards from the Gears franchise.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much information available yet about how Gears of War: The Card Game functions. As a result, it might be prudent to hold off until more details, such as examples of actual games played, are shared online. Otherwise, The Coalition is still working on Gears 6 for an upcoming release.

A New Walking App Called WalkScape Was Inspired by RuneScape

A New Walking App Called WalkScape Was Inspired by RuneScape

A new fitness app with RuneScape influences is being developed by a lone Android developer, allowing users to complete quests, level up, and more by working out.

The classic MMORPG RuneScape served as the inspiration for the new walking app WalkScape, which is being developed independently. By simply moving around, users of the mobile app can complete quests, level up stats, and progress through the narrative of a fantasy adventure.

More than twenty years after its 2001 launch, the original RuneScape still has a thriving community. MMOs and RPGs in general have been significantly influenced by RuneScape, which also probably served as inspiration for a whole generation of today’s game developers. Most people, though, probably wouldn’t have anticipated that inspiration would result in the creation of a fantasy RPG walking app.

The app WalkScape will soon be available for Android devices, and an iOS release is planned for the future. The setting for the game is a fantastical realm called Arenum, which has three nations and numerous places with surprisingly rich lore for a fitness game. The RuneScape-inspired fitness app allows users to walk around the map, explore quests, engage in random encounters, advance through the main storyline, and level up more than 20 different skills. Leaderboards, a global market, and other community features will also be available in WalkScape.

Additionally, the developer shared a few screenshots of the game on Twitter and Reddit, giving users a glimpse of how it will appear. It depicts the journey of the player from the Disenchanted Forest to Kallaheim, a city. Additionally, it shows data such as the Success Chance, Steps Remaining, Steps To Level Up, and Actions To Level Up. Additionally, the WalkScape Twitter account showcases some pixel-art sprites and country-specific lore. There won’t be any music or sound effects in the mobile fitness game, but that could change in the future.

A computer science student who goes by WalkScaper on Reddit is the sole developer of the game WalkScape. They state that it will be free-to-play at launch and describe it as “30% a fitness app and 70% a game.” Once it has more users, they are thinking about offering a subscription service to cover the server costs. Price is unknown, but WalkScape will monetize in a manner akin to Old School RuneScape. The majority of the content will be available to players for free, but in order to access everything, a subscription fee will be required.

Fans can follow the development of WalkScape on Reddit, Twitter, and Discord even though there is no set release date for the game. The RuneScape-inspired fitness RPG’s creator also intends to launch a closed beta this summer. Fans of the long-gone but still widely played MMORPG should find the RuneScape inspiration appealing.

WalkScape is in development for Android.

How do I get free V-Bucks in Fortnite 2023?

Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Increases Danger in Night City and Promotes Crime

Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Increases Danger in Night City and Promotes Crime

A recent mod makes Night City’s NPCs and enemies more dangerous for Cyberpunk 2077 players who want a little more risk in their playthrough.

Thanks to a mod that encourages players to rob civilians while also strengthening enemies and other NPCs, it is now possible to make encounters in Cyberpunk 2077 a little riskier. Other than the soon-to-be-released Phantom Liberty DLC, 2023 may be a quiet year for game developer CD Projekt Red. The team will almost certainly be focused on these new projects while working on the others because the studio is currently developing the next chapter of The Witcher and has announced a Cyberpunk sequel.

The storyline for CDPR’s dystopian RPG 2020 has been quite interesting from conception to publication. Even though the game is doing much better now, many players still remember the initial launch’s difficulties. Even though the game is currently excellent, the vanilla experience can always be enhanced thanks to the devoted fan base. Cyberpunk 2077 mods range from the genuinely bizarre to those that can significantly improve the overall experience. But the modding community can also accommodate those who want a little extra danger during their playthrough.

In light of this, Nexus Mods user tduality presents “Immersive City,” a mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that adds a little bit of intrigue to encounters with NPCs. In the beginning, civilians will have 100% health rather than 60%, and their overall health will no longer be uniform. There is a chance that V will encounter an enemy who is stronger than them because enemies will also have different levels. The option to steal money from NPCs, including the police, further encourages players to commit some crimes. In essence, the creator says that players can choose to become gangsters.

The streets of Night City are already quite dangerous due to the numerous gangs present in Cyberpunk 2077, not to mention the overall violence present in the game. It’s a very grim RPG where players frequently have to engage in combat or face dangerous situations just to survive.

In fact, Cyberpunk 2077’s V has many options available to him, some of which affect the main plot. One of this game’s best features is that. There is a ton to do to keep players busy, including, it seems, engaging in crime sprees, in addition to the fact that it is a large city with a lot of life.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

A No Man’s Sky fan creates retro console-inspired box art

A No Man's Sky fan creates retro console-inspired box art

A fan makes the decision to recreate what No Man’s Sky might have appeared like, at least in terms of the game’s box art, had it been released several decades earlier.

A No Man’s Sky fan has decided to create some retro box art for the game as if it had been released in a more bygone era, in an effort to add a little nostalgia to these modern gaming times. A more recent title may occasionally be “demade” by someone else. Fans have transformed Resident Evil into a 16-bit Sega Genesis game, and Bloodborne has even undergone a PlayStation 1 makeover to give it a more vintage appearance.

Regarding the 2016 space exploration game itself, one of the biggest draws of No Man’s Sky was its enormous map, which is said to consist of approximately 18 quintillion planets. However, even those who didn’t play it when it first came out are probably aware of the backlash the developer faced when it became clear that the game’s content had been oversold. However, the British studio was able to redeem itself, and after numerous updates, NMS seems to have recovered and is now well-liked.

Some No Man’s Sky players prefer to express their appreciation for the game in additional ways beyond its creative features and base building mechanics. Consider the case of Reddit user spongeldn. A few images have recently been uploaded to the website, suggesting an alternate timeline in which NMS was released on consoles that were much older, namely the SNES and Sega Dreamcast. The look and feel of the games that would have been available on these systems all those years ago are captured in both of these images, which are both impressive in their own right.

Many people have praised spongeldn for their work in the comments, and one person even proposed the idea of making the game resemble an old PC release, complete with enormous cardboard box packaging. It’s unfortunate that the Sega Dreamcast only existed for a brief time. Even though it had some cutting-edge features when it was first introduced in 1999, such as internet access at a time when home internet access was only beginning to gain popularity, it found it difficult to make a significant impact. It would have been interesting to see how ambitious No Man’s Sky would have performed on Sega’s final console.

No Man’s Sky is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
