The 2025 NFL calendar will be launched in May and, although the exact date is not established in stone, the League will point to three certain appointments next month with plans to take the schedule before May 15 at the latest.
That information comes from the Vice President of NFL Transmission Planning, Mike North, who did an interview in the IT Always Gameday podcast in Buffalo this week. During the interview, North was asked if the league had established a date for the launch of the schedule.
“Somewhere in the range of May 13, 14 or 15 is probably our goal,” North said.
That means that the calendar will probably be published between Tuesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 15. Although the League is looking at one of those three dates for the launch of this year, North said there is a small possibility that the schedule really leaves a little earlier.
“There is no established date because, in reality, you never know,” said North. “If for any miracle, we have finished on May 7 and we present one to the boss [Roger Goodell] And the commissioner says: “Hey, this is perfect, nothing would change, boys.” We have finished. Pencils down. If so, there is probably no reason to sit on it. “
The NFL used to launch the calendar in April, but the League was forced to return it to May during the Covid 2020 season and has been there since then.
“One of the benefits of going a little later with the launch of the schedule is to have the opportunity to see what happens in the draft,” North said. “What do you know?
In addition to the draft, North said that schedules will be attending some other things in the next two weeks that could affect the schedule of possible exchanges where Aaron Rodgers ends up signing.
“Are there some exchanges that will happen? Do you still wait for a future quartback from the Hall of Fame to sign somewhere, maybe this year,” said North. “Hopefully much of that is known for Draft Day.”
At this point, the Most likely scenario For Rodgers it is that signing with the Steelers, but it could also retire. The Steelers receive the Packers in 2025, so if Rodgers signs with Pittsburgh, North and their crew will probably give the game an outstanding place in the schedule.
Speaking of the Steelers, they are one of the seven teams that will be sent abroad to organize an international game this year. Here is a look at the seven teams they will organize:
- London: Jaguars (Wembley Stadium)
- London: Jets (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
- London: Browns (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
- Sedan: Colts (Olympic Stadium)
- Dublin: Steelers (Croke Park)
- Madrid: Delfines (Santiago Bernabéu Stadium)
- Sao Paulo: Loaders (sand Corinthians)
There are also three other games in which local teams are in stone for the next season:
- Week 1 (September 4): Eagles receives the first game on Thursday
- Thanksgiving (November 27): Lions and Cowboys will organize a game at home
Although the full schedule will not be launched until May, we know the opponents of the house and far for the 32 teams and if you want to see that complete list, you I can see it here.
