Buffalo, NY-General Manager of Buffalo Bills, Brandon Beane, said last year that, despite launching the first round of 2017, Tre’Davious White told the corner that he did not rule out the possibility of his return in the future.
That idea has been fulfilled a year later.
The Bills and White reached an agreement on Thursday on a one -year agreement for a value of up to $ 6.8 million, agents Kevin Conner and Robert Brown told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
White, the first team of the Draft under coach Sean McDermott, was with the Bills during the 2023 season, but was released next season partly due to reasons of salary stop after suffering multiple serious injuries.
The corner is among the largest positions of need for Bills who go to the NFL draft next week with the 2024 Rasul Douglas opener still a free agent. Bringing White adds to a veteran who is extremely familiar with the defense of the team. The Bills also returned the corner Dane Jackson this low season.
White, a selection of twice in Pro Bowl, separated last season with Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens.
After being a bank for the Rams in 2024, White was acquired in an exchange for the Ravens on November 5 in an exchange of seventh round selections. It was solid in seven games for the Ravens as the fourth corner of the team, registering 10 tacle and three passes defended while playing 35% of Baltimore’s defensive snapshots.
The last low season, after being released by the Bills, White signed a one -year contract and $ 8.5 million with the Rams and thought to be one of the best corners of Los Angeles. But he had trouble starting the first four games, giving four touchdowns. White was a healthy scratch for the next five weeks before being treated to Baltimore.
A first round of the Bills in 2017, White has dealt with several serious injuries. His left ACL broke on Thanksgiving 2021, he returned for six regular seasonal games and two playoff games in 2022 and then broke the four Achilles games in the 2023 season. Before the injuries, White had been left out only three games in his NFL race and had never undergone major surgery.
In seven seasons, White has totaled 333 cups, 18 interceptions, 73 defeated passes and five forced loose balls for the Bills, Rams and Ravens. In 2019, he tied for the leadership of the NFL with six interceptions, when he was selected as an All-Prove of the first team.
