Final Fantasy Sephiroth Magic Crossover reveals new card design by Tetsuya Nomura, hinting at FF7 Remake Part 3. The collaboration between Final Fantasy and Magic: The Gathering has unveiled a new Sephiroth card design by Tetsuya Nomura, sparking speculation about Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
In the upcoming Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy set, Sephiroth is featured in a unique double-faced card: “Sephiroth, Fabled Soldier” on one side and “Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel” on the other. Nomura designed the artwork so that when two cards are aligned, they form a continuous image. He mentioned, “I actually drew them so that they would join up if placed one on top of the other.”
Nomura’s comment about the design of Safer Sephiroth being different from the original game has led fans to speculate that this new depiction may reflect changes in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3. He stated, “There is also a reason that the design for Safer Sephiroth is different from the original game, but I unfortunately can’t share more about that.”
The Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy set is scheduled for release on June 13, 2025. It will feature characters from across the Final Fantasy series, including Cloud, Terra, and Squall. The set introduces new gameplay mechanics and offers a fresh way for fans to engage with the Final Fantasy universe.
The new Sephiroth card design in the Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy crossover offers a tantalizing glimpse into potential developments in Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3. While details remain under wraps, fans eagerly await further information as the release date approaches.
