Each season, the NFL draft takes the center of the stage and remains a crucial part of the low season for the 32 teams. Teams that win Super Bowls are generally built through the draft.
Just look at the Super Bowl champion, Philadelphia Eagles. Seven of its offensive headlines were recruited, including the MVP of the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurts and four of the five headlines possibly the best offensive line in football. Each starter on the defensive line was recruited, and the best Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper Safe were selected with the two best team teams last year (No. 22 and No. 40 in general).
It doesn’t matter where a team feels in the NFL pantheon, that team can instantly improve in 2025 with a good draft class. The Houston Texans did it with CJ Stoud in 2023 and the Washington commanders did the same in 2024 with Jayden Daniels, adding quartbacks of the franchise to help them along the way. Of course, a field marshal of the franchise helps, but the teams can still improve their playoff possibilities and even become a super bowl contender with rookies that contribute immediately.
There are many AFC teams that compete to knock down Kansas City chiefs and can improve their possibilities with a good draft class. Others are trying to recover their franchises and outside their loser forms. These are five teams that need to accelerate the draft in the AFC this year.
The Bengals tied their salary limit to retain J’mar Chase and Tee Higgins (whom they reduced), signing the two receptors open to long -term mass extensions this low season. Joe Burrow is one of the best paid quarters in football, another reason why there is little margin of error by obtaining the draft selections correctly and improving other areas of the list.

The Patriots have a franchise field marshal in Drake Maye, but New England had one of the worst lists of the NFL last season. One of the benefits of having a selection among the top five is to obtain a premium player in this year’s draft class, and two of the three best selections could be quarterbacks. That could shape New England to obtain the open/corner receptor Travis Hunter or the Abdul Carter passes corridor.

Having the number 1 selection in the draft is already essential for a franchise to obtain the correct selection, especially in a class that does not seem to be deep in quartback. Bills have talent on the list, but how can Buffalo overcome the hump? Finding more pass runners to expose the weakness of Chiefs in the offensive line would also help significantly. Buffalo has selections No. 30, No. 56 and No. 62 in this draft, a great opportunity to find initial caliber players that can contribute immediately and complete the upper end of the list.
Bills usually write well under the general manager Brandon Beane. They can’t spoil this.
