Fuentes – Seahawks Open to the Backup Exchange QB Sam Howell

Seattle – Seahawks are open to Sam Howell’s exchange and have received consultations of teams interested in acquiring their substitute field marshal, sources told ESPN.

That interest occurs immediately after the Seahawks by adding Drew Lock last week, again signing the old support of Geno Smith to play the same role behind the new Sam Darnold opener. Jaren Hall is his fourth field marshal, giving Seattle a possible surplus in position.

General manager John Schneider told Seattle Sports 710-AM on Thursday that Seahawks are prepared for Howell and Lock compete for backup work. The team kept only two Quarterbacks on its list of 53 men under former coach Pete Carroll, but had three at the end of the last year under Mike Macdonald after promoting Hall of the practice team.
