Hovercrafts and hop boosts: Early Nintendo Switch 2 players uncover Mario Kart World secrets

The first Nintendo Switch 2 players have already unearthed secrets in Mario Kart World, including an aerodeslizer and a new mechanic.

Nintendo started his Experience Switch 2 tour this week, allowing players from several cities around the world to play the console early.

As captured by an X user who played Mario Kart World, a demonstration showed a hidden secret in the game: an aerodeslizer that can be controlled by the player.

According to the demonstration, other vehicles are hidden in the game. This possibly includes a truck shown during the game‘s revelation trailer.

Chris Sculion de VGC was shown to another mechanic little known in Mario Kart World this week: a new hops impulse.

As shown in the video below, players can now load their jump through a small impulse, although it is not yet clear in what circumstances this will be useful.

Mario Kart World will be launched together with Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. VGC played Nintendo Switch 2 after Nintendo Direct this month, and can read our complete impressions through the link.

In Mario Kart World, players can “drive practically everywhere”, and 24 pilots will appear in each race.

“Put the metal pedal in Mario Kart World, a new experience set in a vast interconnected environment,” Nintendo said. “Carrera without problems through connected courses that deliver Mario Kart races like never before. Twenty -four pilots can compete in a race.

“Participate in the new Tour Knockout mode, where it will cross consecutive courses and control points, without boxes on the road. If a player does not reach each control point in a sufficiently high location, they will be eliminated.

“And on the free road, it is possible to leave the racing track and drive in any direction you want, explore areas that arouse your interest and take some photos in scenic places with a group of friends. Mario Kart World runs on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5.”
