Krafton acquires $14m controlling stake in Indian studio Nautilus Mobile


Krafton has acquired a control participation in Indian gaming Studio Nautilus Mobile for $ 14 million.

The cash agreement was confirmed at the end of last week, with TechCrunch informing the “75%stake of Krafton in the best known study for its true Cricket IP. It follows an earlier investment of $ 5.4 million that Krafton made in Nautilius in 2022.

According to reports, the study will retain autonomy and 45 employees. It will be the thirteenth studio of Krafton, join other subsidiary developers such as Bluehole, PubG Studios, Stiking Distence, unknown worlds, Tango Gameworks and Inzoi Studio.

“Our development capacity in Nautilus will help Krafton duplicate his game strategy in India, and together we can probably build more games, more genres, both for the Indian market and for the global market in the future,” said the CEO of Nautilus, Anuj Mankar.

“We firmly believe that Cricket Games have a lot of potential,” Krafton’s leaders in Krafton India, Nihansh Bhat told Techcrunch. “And we want to work with Nautilus to do the best possible effort to really carry out the potential of this market, not only in India, but in other nations that play Crick and other countries, which are becoming more active in Cricket.”

Krafton reported “record earnings” in 2024, with income from all over the year jumping 41.8% year -on -year to $ 1.85 billion. In August, Krafton acquired Tango Gameworks and Xbox Hi-Fi Rush IP as part of a “strategic agreement.”
