Leicester City’s helicopter accident was accidental, said the investigation jury

A coroner has addressed a jury to an investigation into the death of five people killed in a helicopter accident on the outskirts of the King Power Stadium of Leicester City so that only an accidental conclusion returns.

Professor Mason called the accident a “terrible tragedy”, since he told the jury that only an accidental conclusion could be reached.

She said: “The helicopter accident was a terrible tragedy that cost the lives of five people.

“These were notable people who were very loved and will be terribly strange.

“This audience is to explain to the world how they die.”

The coroner explained that the identities of the deceased and the medical cause of their deaths were not in dispute.

Pathologist Dr. Michael Biggs performed post -mortem exams in each of the five who died, and He told the investigation previously that Mrs. Méhowicz died because of the wounds suffered by the impact of the accident.

He added that the other four people on board would have died “quite quickly” for the inhalation of smoke from the fire that exploded after the helicopter crashed out of the stadium on October 27, 2018.

Professor Mason also instructed the jury that his conclusions on where, when and how the five arrived could not legally dispute the findings of the air accident investigation branch (AAIB).
