A quiet place: the director of the first day, Michael Sarnoski, has attached to the adaptation of the death film.
According to the deadline, Sarnoski will also write the script. The PEG Square Pue supposedly Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen’s films are ready to join the project as a producer.
Death Stranding’s film adaptation was announced in 2023, with the Kojima Productions game developer associating with the A24 film distributor.
“His presence is unique within the industry; they are like no other,” said Studio Founder Hideo Kojima. “The films that are delivering to the world are of high quality and very innovative.”
“He has felt attracted to his creations, and have inspired my own work. His innovative approach to the storytelling is aligned with what Kojima Productions has been doing for eight years. Now, we are making a film that extends for death together.”
Speaking to Variety last year, Kojima said he would not direct the film but would supervise the project.
“I will help communicating with a director I really trust,” he said. “There are currently several Stranding Death Adaptation projects, but there is a different story that I have written to a movie. But I don’t have time to direct it.”
Kojima Productions launched a division dedicated to music, television and cinema in 2021.
Released in 2019, Death Stranding presents a cast full of stars that includes Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Guillermo del Toro and Margaret Qualley.
His sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, was announced in 2022. The title will be released on June 26, 2025, with new characters played by Ellie Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and Luca Marinelli.
