Philadelphia – Only Saquon Barkley could imagine the year he has had.
When Barkley signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in March, this is for what he registered. A trip to the Super Bowl, 2,000 yards per earth in a season, with one of the best campaigns for any corridor in history.
Barkley knew that everything that happened to him this season was possible. That is why he came to Philadelphia.
“You have to imagine it, you have to believe it. And sometimes, it’s curious how things work,” Barkley said. “You work your butt, your tail off low season, and that only gives you a chance.”
Barkley is rewriting record books for a position that once died. He hastened 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, the ninth player in the history of the running league for 2,000 yards in a season. Barkley has seven touchdown races of more than 60 yards this season (including the playoffs), a NFL record for a season and three more than the next highest player. Three TouchDown races have arrived from more than 60 yards in the postseason, a feat that no other player has achieved throughout his playoff career.
He did not change his way of running or his low season training because he is playing for a new team. Barkley finally has a field marshal All-Pro, an open receiver and offensive linens in his offensive, something he never had in his six seasons with the New York giants.
“I did something significantly different in this low season than in others? Not really, to be completely honest,” Barkley said. “In any case, I probably took a little more time for my body to let my ankle sandy and let my knee recover a little more from the previous year.”
Barkley has 2,447 yards by land this season (including the playoffs), 30 yards to move to Terrell Davis for the greatest amount in a season in the history of the NFL. It also has 2,760 scrimmage yards, three shy to spend the majority in a season in the history of the League (including the playoffs). Barkley and Davis are the only players in the history of the NFL that have more than 400 yards per land and more than 5 touchdowns per land in a single postseason. Barkley is also 138 yards of the passes of Darren Sproles (2,897) for most multiple use in a single season (including the playoffs).

This is one of the best seasons for any player in the history of the NFL. This is the opportunity that Barkley wanted when he was allowed to walk in New York, and why he chose Philadelphia.
Now, Barkley is at a victory of a championship and possibly the best season for any player in NFL’s history. Everything is in front of him.
Barkley knew that he, and the Eagles could have a season like this.
“It only gives you a chance,” said Barkley. “But every year, whatever happens, you have to find that mentality because we all have the opportunity to leave and achieve what we want to achieve. So I believed in it, I imagined it, I had those conversations with myself. Tomorrow.
“But it is a great sensation when everything you work is in front of you and the player who knew he was and the player who believed he was finally coming.”
