The University of Colorado celebrated its professional day this week, showing the main perspectives such as the open receiver/corner Travis Hunter and the field marshal Shedeur Sanders. In general, professional days receive much more attention than they deserve. The players are exercising in a controlled environment and exercising against the air, for the most part.
But sometimes something interesting arises. This professional day of Colorado was one of those times, not necessarily because of what happened there, but for the reaction of some corners of the NFL.
In response to a video of the launch session of Sanders (which, so it should be taken into account, is basically a standard Pro Day training in which the field marshal reaches the brand with almost all its releases, as you would expect in this situation), the safety of the New York jets, Andre Cisco, called Sanders for patting the ball before releasing with the launch.
Ball stains are somewhat seen because they slightly delay the release of the ball, but the keyword there is slightly. In most cases they can be relatively harmless, and in any case, they are quite easily correctable if they cause real problems for the field marshal in professionals.
A player who does not believe it is a problem anyway is a possible future teammate of Sanders, the newly out of the New York Giants, Darius Slayton.
Now, a defensive -back believing ball problem is an open problem and an open receiver that believes that the opposite is quite predictable. Each one has confidence in the players on their own side of the ball to make the best game in any snapshot. What makes this a little more interesting is the return to Slayton and his teammate Jermaine Eluemunor in the comments of Slayton’s response.

Jermaine Eluemunor seems to be implying that Slayton wants the giants to write Sanders. They have the general selection No. 3 in this month’s draft, so they have a lot of good chances of being able to do so. All that will probably be needed for Sanders to be on the board when the giants are on the clock is that the Browns pass it, given the growing probability that the Titans take Cam Ward with the selection No. 1.
And if Slayton wants the giants to choose Sanders, or think that, well, it is not bad to be in the registry defending an appearance of their game, especially if you want to obtain more than the 4.4 targets per game that Slayton offered last season.
