Spurs’ De’aaron Fox will undergo surgery for the end of the season in Pinkie

The star of the San Antonio Spurs, De’aaron Fox, will undergo a surgery of completion of the season on Tuesday to repair the tendon damage in his left pinky, the team said.

Fox suffered tendon damage during training camp in October, while with the Sacramento Kings and played through the ailment throughout the season.

For the Spurs and Fox, the decision to undergo surgery was now taken to accelerate the healing process and gain low season chemistry with the list based on their recovery. The team said you hope you will recover completely and be ready for the beginning of the next season.

Fox joined the Kings Spurs in the NBA exchange deadline and ended up playing 17 games for San Antonio. His best game for the Spurs (32 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds and a robbery) arrived on Wednesday night in a 126-116 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in San Antonio.

In 62 games for Spurs and Kings, Fox averaged 23.5 points, 6.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds. He published the only game of 60 points of the season on November 15 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which established the Kings franchise record for points in a contest.

The Fox star and the Lakers, Luka Doncic, are the only two players who average 20 points, 5 assists and 1 robbery in each of the last six seasons, according to ESPN’s investigation.

The Spurs (27-37) are already without the Star Victor Wembanyama and coach Greg Popovich for the rest of the season. Wembanyama was closed in February due to deep venous thrombosis in his right shoulder. Popovich suffered what the team called a “slight blow” in November and has not trained since then.
