The development of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 is progressing smoothly, scenario completed

The development of the third installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Project is on the right track. Director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase provided some updates on the game‘s progress and story in a recent interview.

Naoki Hamaguchi said that they started working on the third game right after finishing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in early 2024. He confidently shared that everything was going well:

“It’s going very well. After finishing FF7 Rebirth, we immediately started working on the third game and by the end of 2024, we had completed a build that was able to confirm what we should aim for as a game. We can already see the direction we want to land in, so we’ve been working towards it since the beginning of this year. “We are moving forward without delay according to the schedule we planned when we started the Remake Project, so we hope you are looking forward to it.”

Hamaguchi mentioned that the project has been in development for approximately nine months and is guided by a clear vision.

Yoshinori Kitase also shared some good news about the game‘s story. Tetsuya Nomura had finished the scenario for the third installment by the end of 2024. Kitase expressed his approval of Nomura’s work:

“As the next part is the conclusion, I gave Nomura the task of creating something that respected the original and also provided a sense of satisfaction beyond what could be experienced in the original, something that would conclude the Remake Project. It was finally delivered at the end of the year and then the stage for the third installment was completed. “I’m very satisfied with it, so I’m sure it will be a satisfying conclusion for the fans as well.”

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 has not yet been officially announced. However, recent updates suggest that fans can expect a reveal soon. Stay tuned for more information as the trilogy nears its conclusion.
