The first year star Kon Knueppel to leave Duke, enters the NBA draft

Knueppel, the number 8 prospect in the Draft projections of the NBA of ESPN, was Duke’s second top scorer this season behind Cooper Flagg, with an average of 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while fired 40.6% from the range of 3 points.

He was named for the ACC All-Freshman team and the second ACO team and helped take the Blue Devils to the Final Four, where they lost in the semifinals against Houston.

Knueppel took a step forward in the ACC Tournament when Flagg fell early in the quarterfinals with an ankle injury, publishing 63 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists in three games to help Duke win the title, being appointed MVP of the tournament.

He played an essential role in Duke’s 35-4 season, assuming important duties to create shooting while spaced the floor effectively and maintains his own defensive.
