The Last of Us TV show renewed for season three, and the second hasn’t even aired yet

Naughty Dog has confirmed that the acclaimed adaptation of the live action of HBO of The Last of Us is obtaining a third season, even before the long anticipated season has been broadcast.

The last television debut of us in 2023 found a great critical acclamation and brought a record number of spectators, so it was not a big surprise when HBO confirmed that he had commissioned a second season. And with the emotion building before the start date of the second season this Sunday, April 13 (it has already managed to establish two HBO records, even before it is transmitted), fans will undoubtedly be happy to hear that things will not end with an abrupt stop.

The plans for a third season of the last of things have been discussed previously, of course. In August 2023, the Showrunner Craig Mazin confirmed that the team would need more than one season to cover the events of the second game, noting that “four seems like a good number.” That figure was repeated again earlier this year, when the executive of HBO, Francesca Orsi, revealed that although a “complete or final plan” was not in its place “, it seems four seasons” for adaptation.

Here is a look in the last season of us.

When heading to the announcement of renewal of the last season of The Last of US of the USA.

The last season of the United States covers seven episodes (one “quite large” in length), with episode one broadcast this Sunday, April 13, at 9 pm et/pt through HBO and Max in the United States. In the United Kingdom, the second season is broadcast on Sky Atlantic and now, with the first episode available on Monday, April 14, presumably at 2 am for those who wish to get ahead of spoilers.

The last season of the United States sees Pedro Pascal’s return as Joel, Bella Ramsey such as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Routina Wesley as Maria, with new cast members, including Young Mazino, Alanna Ubach, Ben Ahlers, Hettienne Park, Joe, Robert John Burke, Noh Lamanna and Kaitly Dever as Abby. In addition, the legendary Catherine O’Hara joins the cast as Jackson therapist, one with an intriguing connection with a minor game whose story will expand in a style similar to the acclaimed Bill and Frank Episode of the first season.
