Jacksonville, Florida – The Marshal of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence, will be limited in the spring as he continues to recover from surgery to repair the CA joint on his left shoulder and is in time to start for the time the training camp begins.
The Jaguars coach Liam Coen said that there is still no established plan for the amount of launching that Lawrence will do, but that Lawrence is being monitored by the vice president of health and performance of the players Jeff Ferguson and Wynkoop, his personal strength coach, as the low season program progresses.
“As we advance, we are optimistic that we will get there in terms of where we should go,” Coen said on Wednesday. “He will be in a release count for those things. In terms of where he has to arrive, because he has small contact points that he needs to reach before he can obviously go to the grass and do it at full speed, everything is advancing. He feels really good right now, so excited about that.”
Lawrence underwent surgery on December 17 and was in a deep until the end of January. He said Wednesday that he does not have a deadline in mind for when he wants to be completely clear.
“We do not play a game until this fall, so I will obviously be ready before that, so I am very optimistic, I will be perfectly good for the season,” he said. “… I am throwing, and obviously I am progressing and advancing in more distance, more pitches, just trying to be intelligent and not only jump to the deep end immediately. Just trying to work with it.”
Lawrence was injured his shoulder against Philadelphia on November 3, he stayed out of the next two games and returned to start the December 1 game against Houston. He suffered a brain commotion in that game and did not play again in 2024. He had to eliminate the brain shock protocol, which he did on December 15, before he could undergo surgery.
Lawrence underwent surgery in the same shoulder in February 2021 to repair an injury to the labr and was limited in his participation in the rookie mini -fair and the ota of the Jaguars.
The lighter launch load will allow Lawrence to work in its foot game, which is something that Coen said he needed to improve in an interview with Siriusxm NFL radio during the NFL League meeting.
On Wednesday, on the second day of the team’s off -season training program, Coen said he would not describe Lawrence’s foot game as if they need significant changes, only more than one adjustment.
“If you can have central foundations and foot game in which you believe and trust those times of crisis, you have something that really appeales and play with a quiet mind,” Coen said. “And so, this is a great opportunity now that it is a bit limited from the launching point of view that we can immerse ourselves in the foot game, you can immerse yourself in your own time and really work on this thing. So you are committed to him. It is something we feel strongly that can help him continue improving. And finally on Sundays, we hope he appears.

Lawrence admitted that he has had some problems with his foot game and is glad to address this season, and it is something he can do at home in addition to what he does in the facilities.
