You can probably say goodbye to any hope of the Platinumgames GG project that has been launched, since the study has eliminated all the references of its website

Another day, another game probably canceled, this time the GG project of Platinumgames, a title of ultra man that was never revealed so much.

Do you remember the GG project? It would not blame you if you do not, it was announced in 2020, nothing else was shared, and then its director, Hideki Kamiya, left the study (which co -founded) at the end of 2023. Obviously there were immediate questions about whether this game would see the light of the day after Kamiya’s departure, and now it almost seems that he will not. If you go to the page on the Platinumgames website that lists all the games in which they have worked, you will find 10 titles, including the Bayonetta series, Nier: Automata, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and the recently announced Ninja Gaiden 4.

Except that the use of the Wayback machine shows that there was 22 games listed there, including license titles such as Transformers: Devastation, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan and The Legend of Korra, along with the games that took place as Madworld and A cataclysmic insufficiency that was the fall of Babylon, all of which still has its own dedicated pages, although they are no longer listed on the site (thanks, Eurogamer). Project GG was also one of the deleted titles from the list of the games list, except that it does not even have its own page, since the URL for it only redirects to the Platinumgames home page.

All that confirms that the game is dead in the water, which is not exactly a surprise since Kamiya has not been in the studio for more than a year. For a time it has been a little clear about what Platinumgames has been working, since there seems to be a recently staff, but that new Ninja game Gaiden at least means that the lights will remain on for a while.
