Highly anticipated game God of War Ragnarok has been experiencing a surge in sales in the United Kingdom. Physical sales of the game have witnessed a remarkable increase for the third consecutive week, propelling it to the fourth position on the UK sales charts. In comparison to the week ending on June 10, 2023, the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PlayStation 4 (PS4) exclusive recorded an impressive 38 percent rise in boxed purchases. While it wasn't able to surpass the top spot held by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it managed to surpass other popular titles such as F1 23 and Diablo 4.
Among the top 10 games for PS5 and PS4, God of War Ragnarok secured the fourth position, preceded by Hogwarts Legacy in fifth place. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 followed closely behind, while FIFA 23, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Street Fighter 6 rounded out the eighth, ninth, and tenth positions, respectively. Despite a 19 percent decline in week-on-week sales, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reclaimed its position at the top of the UK boxed charts.
The highly anticipated release of Electronic Arts' F1 23 was unable to surpass The Legend of Zelda, settling for the second spot. Electronic Arts achieved a strong presence in the Top Ten with three titles, including the ongoing success of FIFA 23 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
In its second week, Diablo 4, which previously dethroned The Legend of Zelda after a four-week reign, dropped to the third position with a 69 percent decrease in sales compared to its launch.
The only new entry this week is Bandai Namco's theme park simulator, Park Beyond, which made its debut at No. 38.
Within the Top Ten, God of War Ragnarok experienced a significant rise in sales for the third consecutive week, achieving a 38 percent increase and climbing from the seventh position to the fourth.
Another notable title, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, witnessed a substantial sales increase of 145 percent due to price promotions, leading it to re-enter the charts at No. 20.
