Blizzard Entertainment is all set to reveal the highly anticipated Diablo 4 Season 1 this week. Alongside this exciting announcement, the studio will also provide details about several quality of life updates. Fans of the iconic Diablo franchise can look forward to this thrilling reveal during a developer live stream scheduled for July 6 at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET / 7 pm GMT.
During the live stream, game director Joseph Piepiora and lead game producer Timothy Ismay will delve into the new class that will be introduced to Diablo Immortal in mid-July. Additionally, they will discuss various enhancements designed to improve the overall gaming experience.
Diablo 4's seasonal content is a significant aspect of the game, with new features, quests, items, and balance changes being introduced on a quarterly basis. It is worth noting that players must first complete the main campaign before engaging with the seasonal content. To address this requirement, Blizzard has stated that Season 1 will launch in the "mid to late July" timeframe.
One of the key elements accompanying each season is the Season Journey screen. This screen will provide players with vital information regarding the available content and outline the specific objectives they need to complete in order to unlock each season's rewards.
Every season will introduce a Battle Pass, comprising 27 free tiers and 63 premium tiers. The free tiers will grant players access to various cosmetics and 'Smouldering Ashes,' which can be utilized to obtain Season Blessings. These blessings offer bonuses such as increased experience points, gold, or Obols.
The premium tiers, on the other hand, will not offer any in-game power but will provide exclusive cosmetics that are unique to that particular season. Moreover, players will receive Platinum, Diablo 4's premium currency, along with the premium tiers. Platinum can be obtained through real money purchases and can be used to buy cosmetic items from the in-game shop or contribute towards future Battle Passes.
For those interested in the premium Battle Pass, it will be available for 1,000 Platinum, equivalent to $9.99. Blizzard is also offering an accelerated Battle Pass option for 2,800 Platinum ($24.99), which includes 20 tier skips and a special cosmetic item.
The gaming community's excitement is reaching new heights as Blizzard Entertainment prepares to unveil Diablo 4 Season 1 along with various quality of life updates. Fans can tune in to the developer live stream on July 6 to get a detailed look at the new content and gain insights from the developers themselves.
