Brand-new Xbox Series X/S controller appears to have leaked before being officially revealed.
Microsoft plans to release the Astral Purple Xbox Series X/S controller on September 19, 2023, according to the frequently reliable billbil-kun.
It is expected to cost $64.99 / €64.99 in the United States, and £59.99 in the United Kingdom.
Players can currently choose from a variety of colors when using Xbox's Design Lab service to create unique controller designs. At least seven new Xbox controller designs have already been unveiled by Microsoft in 2023.
The Velocity Green controller was revealed and made available in March after the blue-purple Stellar Shift controller.
The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller's red and blue versions were also made available in March.
The limited edition Starfield controller was released in June after the Sunkissed Vibes controller with a peach and pastel blue theme was released in May. Additionally, the Stormcloud Vapor Xbox Series X/S controller was introduced last month.
Microsoft is committed to making the same games available for both Xbox Series X and S consoles, according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, and he doesn't see a scenario in which the entry-level system is forced to forgo some titles due to technical constraints.
He added that a mid-gen refresh would add "a ton of complexity for creators and players" and that the cost of current-gen consoles won't decrease over time in the same way that other systems have in previous generations.
