Walking Dead TV show's leaked video game

A new video game based on the AMC television series The Walking Dead has reportedly leaked information.

According to a new report by data miner Billbil-kun, who has a good track record of product leaks, The Walking Dead: Destinies will put players in the shoes of former deputy sheriff Rick Grimes, who awakens from a coma after a worldwide zombie apocalypse.

The third-person action-adventure game is said to cover the events of the first four seasons and includes more than 15 show characters as well as well-known locations. Players won't have to follow the show's script, though; it's been reported that they'll be able to assemble their own team and decide who to save or kill as the plot develops.

But here's where things get seriously interesting. "The Walking Dead: Destinies" isn't your run-of-the-mill rehash of the TV series. While it's covering the first four seasons, it's not locked into the same old story arc. You get to make the calls – who lives, who's zombie chow, and what unexpected twists and turns the tale takes. You're not just a player; you're the storyteller.

This game isn't just about decisions; it's about survival instincts and some good old strategy. You won't be staring down those walkers empty-handed. Think of weapons like revolvers, shotguns, and the cherry on top – the mighty katana. And as if that's not enough to keep your heart pounding, there's strategy galore. Resource scavenging and base management are part of the game, adding that extra layer of realism and challenge.

The Walking Dead: Destinies" will be available on all of the platforms that follow: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the trusty PC. You should mark November 14th, 2023, as the day you plunge headfirst into the apocalypse. And keep your money close by because no matter what platform you use, the price is pocket-friendly at $49.99 / €49.99.

Co-creator of the franchise Robert Kirkman earlier this year submitted a trademark application for "The Walking Dead: Destinies."
