The NFL free agency begins with the legal negotiation window on March 10, and players can officially sign with new teams after 4 pm et on March 12, which is the beginning of the new year of the League.
However, there has already been a lot of action this week, in the period prior to free agency. The franchise label window closed at 4 PM ET on Tuesday, and two players (the Bengals receiver, Tee Higgins, and the Chiefs Guard, Trey Smith) were officially labeled. The teams can also accept the terms of the trades, as we saw with the Commanders Agreement for the Samuel Sr.’s receiver, the ol movements torque of the Bears and the acquisition of Christian Kirk of the Texans. (The Seahawks DK Metcalf and Bengals Edge Running Trey Hendrickson also recently joined the list of players who have requested an exchange). Some big names have also been released in recent days, including Evan Engram, Davante Adams and Joey Bosa.
