Civilization review 7

The civilization and the football manager are like birds of a pen, mainly because when a new one is presented, the life of my poor companion is consumed by stories of my hits and overwhelming defeats.

Few series such effortly create unforgettable moments of an emerging game that, for me, I am beyond playing these games for mechanics themselves or to challenge myself in the highest difficulty, but instead for fun, “only in civio”, things, things vomit.

Civilization 7 of Sid Meier is absolutely full of them. From a new influence system that adds even more bets to its conversations with other leaders, to the Eras system that completely changes the tempo of the matches, Civilization 7 is a new entry won and a game that we will continue installed for years.

The new ERAS system is the biggest change in civilization 7. While the previous games would notify the players when someone reached the age of bronze, or the medieval age, for example, civilization 7 treats the three ages separate almost as separate games.

Many of the things that build at an age will not translate to the next. The units will no longer be available, and the state of the game can save savagely. For people who do not have a lifetime to spend on a CIV game, this is a good break in the game and makes the games more manageable, one of several things that I think were influenced by the success of the game in the portable platforms.

However, for players who are going to finish a game at once, change the way veteran players think on the board in front of them. A change at the time ends all wars, for example, so if you are under the Cosh, it is often advantageous to play defensive, because you know that the second of the time changes to the next, you are clear.

The new Civilization 7 influence system is another change of game for the new iteration. The currency, which can be used in negotiations with other leaders, changes the way it interacts with the rest of the players on the board. Now, actions such as denouncing, opening borders, establishing independent fuinios and more, all the cost of influence.

Not only can you spend your currency on these actions, but you can also force other players to spend your own based on your proposals. For example, another leader can suggest open borders or a cultural festival that will benefit both players. If I agree with this, it will cost me 90 influence, but I will send a neutral response, it will be free. However, I will only receive a small benefit.

I suppose this is designed to prevent players from monopolizing the influence, which can be enormously effective when you plan to go to war. When war explodes, you can spend influence to change the course of the battle in your own way. This means that your enemy civilians will develop the tiredness of war, and its army will be weaker.

“The new Civilization 7 influence system is another change of game for the new iteration. The currency, which can be used in negotiations with other leaders, changes the way it interacts with the rest of the players on the board. “

I am in two minds about this system, mainly due to how effective it is if you are launching a military campaign. With the correct amount of influence, it is very simple to break down the borders and launch a total assault without giving your enemy the opportunity to respond.

The AI was incredibly happy of the war during my time with the game, and was, in a typical civil way, as subtle as a fire in the house when establishing before the war. Suddenly, there are dozens of enemy soldiers who cover my borders, all while their leaders are happy and cordial.

War dependence is a key issue with civilization 7, and the series as a whole. There is still no science form to death halfway. You could also be a Belicon because it is the only way to get the enemies out of the game during the average period. Without this, it is basically a total sprint to cultural and scientific victories.

Each of the types of victory has new conditions to win, which are shown to the player through missions. These change with each age, and also serve as a good way to explain to new players what they should really point. The scientific route, for example, could focus first on discovering mathematics, then a university and, finally, future technology. For military victory, you are colonizing the world or you have enough religious influence in other territories to establish control.

There is a danger that these missions make the game following the instructions of LEGO in which exactly what you should do, but in greater difficulties, they serve much more as guidelines, and how really colorful in the image depends on you.

There are also secondary missions that provide great bonuses, but some of them can be quite hard. We received a secondary search that asked us to have an army commanders level in the next 30 shifts, something that would have been practically impossible unless we alleged that the search was on its way.

“The AI was incredibly happy during my time with the game, and it was, in a typical civil way, as subtle as a fire in the house when establishing a pre-war.”

Civilization 7 is thinned in an intelligent way, probably due to how successful the series has been both in Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch. The game is verified to Steam Deck in the launch, and although our time with that version has been short so far, it will be a firm partner on flights in the future.

The Civ team has been quite open on how the change has influenced how the game develops and is for the better. The menus are cleaner, there are practically no microscopic text, and technological trees are much simpler to understand. This is not “Tonking Down”, it only makes the game much more readable on a small screen without breaking it against your eyes.

Civilization 7 is still the main night and weekend thief in my life. Despite the massive casualties of the absolute constant war, it is a really cozy game. Cozy in the sense that if you sat in front of him on a Friday afternoon, you would fly through campaigns, the boxes fell in the background, before realizing that it was Sunday.

The changes here are intelligent, but do not break the established formula, and there is thinning and rationalization that are clearly influenced by the portable success of the game. Combined, this means that Civilization 7 is a safe, elegant and high water brand for strategy games.
