The prominent rookie of the Memphis Grizzlies, Jaylen Wells, stretched out of the floor after taking a terrifying fall in an attempted attempted at the end of the first half of the victory on Tuesday night over the Hornets.
Wells caught a pass in front of the defense and went up at the end, which he turned, but when he grabbed the edge, Kj Simpson undermined him. His legs taken, Wells turned back, lost his grip on the edge and collapsed to the floor and landed at the front of his head with all his strength.
Note that this is not easy to see.
Wells, who has been one of the 2024 draft geming findings at number 39 in general and has been in the rookie conversation of the year throughout the season, was treated for a long period on the floor before being removed on a stretcher.
After the game, Wells agent told ESPN That wells is “awake, alert and moving its limbs” after the fall. However, Wells suffered a broken right doll.
For its part, Simpson was evaluated a flagrant 2 failure, which comes with automatic expulsion. In Defense of Simpson, this was clearly not intentional. You can see it upload to a block of persecution just to realize in the last second that was not in the range to make the play. He tried to detach himself, but that was really the problem. When deviating from Wells and effectively trying to pass beyond him, he ran directly to Wells’s legs.
Hopefully Wells is fine and that the fall was not as bad as it seemed. We will continue to update this story as there is more information about the condition of wells available.
