Mumbai Indians 213 for 4 (Sciver-Brunt 77, Matthews 77, Harmanpreet 36, Gibson 2-40) Beat Gujarat giants 166 (Gibson 34, Litchfield 31, Matthews 3-31, Kerr 2-28) for 47 races
The giants were without Deandra Dottin for their first knockout game in three WPLs after the Allrounder was hurt only five minutes before the launch, and was replaced by Danielle Gibson of England. The giants did not do any favor, since the tickets were spoiled and left four catches that cost them a lot. And in the persecution, they lost their three best scorers of this season: Beth Mooney, Harleen Deol and Ashleigh Gardner, in the power game when Mumbai clung to his captures and extended.
Phoebe Litchfield scored a rapid shot of 31 of 20 balls, but once it was perplexed to Amelia Kerr, the giants were out of persecution in 107 by 5, with the rate of requests of more than 13 runs.
Matthews, Sciver-Brunt Set Solid Platform
Putting the bat, Mumbai reopened with Yastika Bhatia, but did not change his fortune. After collecting three limits in his 14 ball stay during a quiet power game in which he did not take too many risks, Bhatia brought Gibson to Midwicket for 14.
The Wickt took out the bisquillo in shape, which did not stepped on a eyelid to start with a cautious Hayley Matthews, which began with only 17 races of its first 22 balls before taking off. Sciver-Brunt took the air route immediately. Their consecutive limits to finish the seventh overvalued Matthews to hit three of the next three priya mishra balls to feed the execution rate beyond eight and. Three of those five four consecutive four people came out of short deliveries, a length that the bowling players of the giants often played and were punished.
His careless field also did not help, many of them, which led to limits. The first came in the ninth place when Sciver-Brunt led to a deep cover, and Simran Shaikh let him pass through her. Shortly after, Sciver-Brunt reinvirted Gardner for his fifth limit in 12 balls. Kashvee Gautam then leaves one at the point when Matthews cut a square. By then, Matthews had begun to find a game, and a six of the short ball of Tanuja Kanwar brought him fifty of 36 balls, and the team 100 in 11 overs.
With Mumbai in 111 by 1 after 12 overs, Meghna Singh and Mishra brought some type of balance by granting only 13 races in two overs. But from the 124 by 1 cushion with six overs for the end, it was time to hit the pedal.
Harmonster demola the giants again
Harmanpreet already had the helmet on the bench, and was cutting the shadows for his great swings while waiting for his chance. Sciver-Brunt deposited Gibson about Deep Midwickt and Long-on to raise a fifty of 29 balls. The giants, meanwhile, continued their miserable race in the field when the reliable Gardner dropped Matthews in 57 directly on the ground.
Matthews made them pay immediately against Mishra on consecutive themselves on long and covered with skilled feet game. Such was Mumbai’s fate that even an upper edge in the next ball was for four. But the fate of Matthews and Mumbai ended when he surpassed Gautam for 77 of 50 balls, and Mooney took a strong foot capture.
Harmanpreet averaged almost 79 against Giants before this game, and the number could have fallen if Mishra had clung to the capture in Midwicket when the batter was in 1. But he was humiliated and Harmanpreet became Harmonster. She was deeply in the fold and opened her posture to transport the ball, either in the slot or not.
Harmanpreet started the 18 by hammering Kanwar by 6, 4, 4. Even that included a Misfield, before Harmanpreet ended his characteristic work sweep for six for 22 Kanwar races. Sciver -Brunt also obtained a life below, interspersed between two limits of Gibson, when Kanwar made a skier disaster. The giants were punished once again, but finally saw the back of Sciver-Brunt when Litchfield caught one in Deep Midwicket, leaving SCIVER-BRUNT seven shorts of 500 races this season, and three shorts of 1000 in the WPL in general.
Harmanpreet received two balls in the slot at the beginning of the last time, and happily picked up six in both. Meghna, however, ended up giving only two of the next three balls before nailing a Yorker who led to Harmanpreet’s exhaustion by 36.
Mumbai’s filders show how it is done
The hosts took only five balls to show how Fielding made the difference in the game despite the presence of RocÃo. When Shabnim Ismail drew the edge of Mooney, Matthews jumped to his right from the first slide to grab the ball with both hands. When Harleen Deol and Gibson were confused in the fifth, Sanskriti Gupta, 20, immersed himself at the point and threw the ball quickly to Wicktkeeper to find Deol Short. And just before the middle of the brand, Gibson also fell short when he tried a second race, but his immersion was not enough for the flat launch of Amanjot Kaur from the depths.
In the middle, Gardner lost his bump against Matthews when he swing his bat, which meant that the giants were 43 by 3 in the power game. Litchfield was his only hope, since he used his feet regularly against Kerr, and hit two limits against Ismail that showed his class on both sides of the Wickt. But when Litchfield ventured out of the fold against Kerr once again and was lost, Bhatia took the bonds in a short time.
Another exhaustion and the giants fall
The giants barely had steam in his tank, but his poor career joined his miseries. Next to the short autumn was Gautam, who was sent back to a fast single after drilling the ball to cover, from where Harmanpreet shot the ball back for the sixth wickt.
With 102 races to get from the remaining 42 balls, and its first five in the cabin, the giants only hope to approach their goal was Bharti Fulmali. It started with six direct from Amanjot, sent Kerr to the limit of the leg side and worn Matthews for consecutive limits behind Square. But when Fulmali backed away for a third consecutive limit, Matthews defeated her and hit the stumps.
Mumbai continued his star field exhibition while Harmanpreet took a diving capture to send Shaikh back, and Sciver-Brunt ran to his left in Deep Midwickt to seal the victory in the last time.
