The newest character added to the gacha game, Dehya, has angered Genshin Impact players who feel she is too weak.
Fans of Genshin Impact are dissatisfied with the new character, Dehya, because they feel that she is too weak. Dehya was eagerly anticipated, but many people felt that it fell short of the expectations once it was released. However, players of Genshin Impact continue to appreciate the expanding cast of characters in addition to Dehya.
The HoYoverse game has been available since 2020, when it was a somewhat contentious release. One ChinaJoy attendee allegedly smashed a PS4 in protest the year before due to the game's alleged resemblance to Breath of the Wild. Genshin Impact quickly gained popularity after it was released because it quickly established itself in its own niche. The characters obtained through the gacha mechanic are one of the biggest draws for many.
Dehya, who was first revealed in January, has been leaked, creating some anticipation for the role. Players were dissatisfied with Dehya's skill set as soon as she became a playable character in Genshin Impact version 3.5. Dehya has some of the lowest attack stats in the game, even lower than many 4-star characters, despite being a 5-star character. This could, however, be a deliberate design decision to counteract Dehya the Desert Mercenary.
