Player Traps Opponent on Shipment in Hilarious Modern Warfare 2 Clip

In a hilarious clip from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a player on the Shipment map traps their opponent.

During a match on the Shipment map, a funny clip from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 depicts one player trapping another. Since Modern Warfare 2's release in October 2022, Activision has added new maps, but the majority of them have been remade versions of earlier maps.

Since Season 1 Reloaded added the popular Call of Duty map Shipment, Modern Warfare 2 didn't come out with it. Matches on this tiny map move quickly and can produce some amusing situations and interactions, like two Modern Warfare 2 players playing a game of grenade hot potato on Shipment. A second fan has since shared a video demonstrating how they successfully trap an opponent while playing Shipment.

They are playing on Shipment with a riot shield as a secondary weapon, according to a hilarious video posted by Reddit user Due_Literature_2556. As many players use the Overkill perk in Modern Warfare 2, which enables them to equip the shield for defense against shots from behind while using their primary weapon, riot shields are relatively common on this map. Due_Literature_2556 makes amusing and inventive use of the riot shield, though, by using it to trap a rival and prevent them from leaving the area.

The opponent makes frantic attempts to escape the situation for a sizable portion of the video by repeatedly jumping and shooting, but to no avail. In Modern Warfare 2, these areas on Shipment can be used for camping, but Due_Literature_2556 skillfully uses the riot shield to trap their adversary. The enemy team's user of the riot shield appeared to have run out of Semtex grenades, Molotov cocktails, and other lethal weapons that can be used to eliminate opponents while they are protected by a riot shield.

The number of gamers who mention being surprised at Due_Literature_2556's clever use of the shield in the comments section suggests that many of them were expecting him to do so. Due to the chaotic nature and small size of Shipment in Modern Warfare 2, it is very simple for players to lose their lives there. As a result, some fans are also surprised that Due_Literature_2556 survived this long in the video.

Shipment is still very popular, and Activision occasionally includes a playlist specifically for this map in Modern Warfare 2. Players can be seen complaining online about the absence of a Shipment 24/7 playlist in the game whenever it is removed, suggesting that some fans only want to play on it.
