Tencent Brings Back Delta Force Franchise with a Modern Twist.

The iconic first-person shooter franchise, Delta Force, is rising from the ashes thanks to none other than gaming giant Tencent. Tencent is bringing the first-person shooter franchise Delta Force back from the dead. Tencent's Timi Studio Group is working on a new game in the franchise for PC, consoles, and smartphones.

The game will be revealed in full this week at Gamescom Opening Night Live, which will be aired online tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 22nd at 7pm UK time.

The game's producer, Shadow Guo, promised a new campaign mode "based on the movie Black Hawk Down" in an early "tease" that was provided to IGN.

Tencent has something special cooked up for gamers, and they're going to dish it out during the highly-anticipated Gamescom Opening Night Live event. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 22nd, at 7 pm UK time because that's when you'll get your first peek at the revival we've all been waiting for.

Gamers will be able to take part in real-life battles from the well-known movie, according to Guo. "Our crew has carefully examined the movie and respectfully dived into the historical setting. We were able to develop an incredibly accurate and immersive gaming experience that perfectly reflects the spirit of that historic event thanks to our diligent study.

There will also be a massively multiplayer PVP mode with more than 32 players that allows for fighting on land, in the air, and at sea. Everything has a faint Battlefield odor.

Tencent has another ace up its sleeve. Brace yourselves for a multiplayer Player Versus Player (PVP) mode that's about to redefine the term "intense." With player counts soaring beyond 32, you'll be thrown into the battlefield, battling it out on land, in the air, and even at sea. It's like they've taken a page from the playbook of the beloved Battlefield franchise and cranked it up a notch.

A PC version of Delta Force was first released in 1998 by the Californian studio Novalogic. Over the next ten years, a number of sequels were released, with the last being Delta Force: Xtreme 2 in 2009.

The 2003 PC (and later console) shooter Delta Force: Black Hawk Down covered the events of Black Hawk Down earlier in the series.

With "Black Hawk Down" as the backdrop and a multiplayer mode that's bound to get you addicted, this revival promises to be nothing short of epic.
