The Jak and Daxter movie adaption is expected to star Tom Holland and Chris Pratt.
That's according to leaker MyTimeToShineHello, who frequently reports on news pertaining to Marvel-related movies and has a solid track record of doing so. Pratt is being "eyed" to play Daxter while Holland is getting ready to play Jak. The Uncharted movie's director Ruben Fleischer will also be directing this adaptation, according to MyTumeToShineHello.
Chris Pratt may be giving none other than Daxter a taste of his witty charm. A voice that is as strange and charming as the character itself is going to be given to the little ottsel with a big personality. Pratt has a talent for delivering words with a dash of snark, and we love it.
Director Ruben Fleischer: From Zombies to Precursor LegacyNow, let's talk about the genius behind the camera. Ruben Fleischer, known for his work on the hilarious "Zombieland" movies and the symbiote-slinging "Venom," is taking the reins of this adventure.
In 2022, Fleischer made his plans to adapt Jak and Daxter public for the first time. The director stated in February of last year that he thought it would be "really cool to bring to life" this series. He previously worked with Holland, who played Nathan Drake in the video game Uncharted.
It may be a coincidence, but Holland has already expressed interest in playing Jak in any Jak and Daxter adaptation. The actor expressed his desire to witness "a really weird and dark" live-action adaptation of the games last year.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this year's box office smash, included Pratt's vocal talents for Mario. Pratt is, however, no stranger to voicing video game characters.
Holland and Pratt have previously collaborated, with the couple voicing brothers in Disney Pixar's fantasy movies Onward.
