Baldur's Gate 3's next major patch and full Mac support will be released next week

Baldur's Gate 3's next major patch

Larian Studios has confirmed that the next major update for Baldur's Gate 3 will be released next week.

Patch 3 will be released alongside full Mac support for Baldur's Gate 3. Larian had hoped that the Mac version of the RPG would be released from Early Access on September 6, when the game was also released for PS5.

Larian said, "We keep a fiery infernal engine in place of our heart. Thank you." "We couldn't have gotten a better reaction to Baldur's Gate 3. Patch 3 is coming on September 21 with full support for BG3 on Mac."

Since its release on PC on August 3, Baldur's Gate 3 has received two major updates.

After the split-screen co-op was removed from Series S, a delayed Xbox version of Baldur's Gate 3 will be released later this year. Baldur's Gate 3 cross-play is going to be supported by Larian, the developer recently announced.

Last month, Larian senior product manager Tom Butler stated that the studio was considering expanding Baldur's Gate 3 with DLC, but that its current focus was on releasing the console version and improving the base game.

"We'll keep patching for a while, then we'll all take a break and figure out what we're going to do next," he told IGN. "But right now, we're having genuine discussions." We'd like to do more. We're not sure what yet."
