Hades 2 Early Access will be available in 2024, with at least as much content as the original's EA launch.
Supergiant has announced that Hades 2, the sequel to one of gaming's smoothest and sexiest underworld capers, will be available in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store in Q2 2024. A limited access technical test will be performed before its release, and it will come with at least as much content to do, hack apart, loot, fans, etc. as the original Hades.
You play Princess Melino in Hades 2, an immortal witch and sister of the luscious lout Prince Zagreus from the first game. She's on a mission to stop Chronos, the escaped time god, from destroying Olympus. In addition the way, you'll meet Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft, Apollo, the god of light, and Nemesis, the goddess of retribution, to name a few new or returning Ancient Greek celebrities. The combat in the game appears familiar in the trailers, but there is a new magic bar reflecting Melino's different skill set.
"Thank you for your patience as we gear up for this launch!" In an official site post, Supergiant stated. "You might be wondering why we can't launch in Early Access right now?! The game appeared to be quite far along in the first trailer! The reason for this is that Hades II will have at least as much content as the original game did when it launched in Early Access on Steam.
"And, while Early Access implies that a game is not yet finished, we want to do everything we can to ensure that Hades II is worth your time as soon as you can play it in any capacity." The technical test, on the other hand, will take place shortly before the early access release and will be a slimmed-down version designed solely to flush out compatibility issues and other bugs.
"Early Access was vital to the entire concept behind the original Hades," Supergiant continued. "We decided it would be an Early Access game before we decided on anything else, like the Underworld setting." We approached the development of Hades II with the knowledge that Early Access would be just as important this time but with a better understanding of what to expect from Early Access development and a better understanding of what a Hades game should be.
You can expect a similar pattern of significant updates that both expand upon and improve the offering in response to feedback following the Hades 2 early access launch. The post states that "the story will grow with each update, as we introduce more characters, and strengthen relationships with existing ones." "Our v1.0 launch, which will include the story's resolution and any other finishing touches, will be the process's culmination."
