Pokemon Company believes there might be a chance for more detective Pikachu games

The Pokémon Company mentioned that this could open up room further detectives Pikachu.

The Pokémon Company and Creatures Inc, claim there are some more Detective Pikachu games that we can expect.

Hiroyuki Jinnai, the president of Creatures Inc., told Famitsu that Detective Pikachu Returns was the last game on the storyline which started from Detective Pikachu made for Nintendo 3DS in 2016.

He however added that there may be room for a spin-off by saying (translated via Google). “Finally, Jinnai Tim, Pikachu, and Harry’s stories. However, everybody in the Team likes an old guy who is talking as well possibly Pikachu will deviate from a general trend?”

Lastly, President Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokémon Company said “At the moment, we can’t promise anything. But in case Detective Pikachu returns and many people ask for such a spin-off, who knows?”

Detective Pikachu Returns hit store shelves earlier this month for Nintendo Switch. In a review, Detective Pikachu Returns was considered an appealing, yet rudimentary, introduction to the mystery genre by young gamers.

Although there isn't much here for them mechanically, older Pokémon aficionados will enjoy interacting with the multitudes of Pocket Monsters strewn across the city. If anything, the game serves as evidence of how robust the Pokémon universe is and how open the door is for The Pokémon Company to investigate further spin-offs. Cozy farming game with Pokémon, anyone?
