Phantom Liberty and Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 install sizes have been revealed.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the installation size for the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty and stated that the most recent Update 2.0 is required.
The size varies by platform for both the update and the expansion.
Phantom Liberty will be released tomorrow (September 26th), so it is recommended that you download the update ahead of time.
The following are the download sizes:
Update 2.0:
- PC: ~33 GB
- PS5: ~38 GB
- Xbox Series X/S: ~52 GB
Phantom Liberty:
- PC: ~24 GB
- PS5: ~33 GB
- Xbox Series X/S: ~38 GB

Idris Elba stars in the expansion, which takes place in a new area of Night City accessible about two-thirds of the way through the main game.
Before beginning the expansion story, CD Projekt suggests starting a new game with Update 2.0. This is due to a slew of changes to the overall gameplay experience, such as a new perk tree and vehicle combat.

If you like the universe, the expansion comes highly recommended, and Cyberpunk 2077 is strongly encouraged to be replayed from scratch. Night City from CD Projekt Red is really quite special in its finished state, despite years of significant patches to get there.
