If that is the case, why do giants do private training with two of the top-toterback perspectives so close to the draft? Schoen attributed those workouts that this is a “unique calendar year”, since the draft takes place early and red that has a late professional day. While condensed schedule is probably a main reason for private training, the fact is that giants are clearly considering one of their draft selections in a quarterback.
The interesting thing is that the giants could write another position with the general selection No. 3 and still get one of the best perspectives of field marshal, since they also have the 34th general selection. New York also has general selection 65 and could use it in a quarterback if one falls early in the third round. Milroe, for example, could be on the board when the giants are on the early watch in the round 2. There is a remote possibility that it can still be available early in the third round.
If the giants do not take a field marshal with the general selection number 3, a good assumption would be that they would use the choice to select Hunter, whose 2024 season was one of the most incredible individual efforts in the history of university football. And with that, the intrigue with respect to what the giants will do with the general selection No. 3 has only increased. The giants could use the selection of a quarterback, or in their place they could use it in a player who could have a great impact on both sides of the ball.
